Joshua Converse is an Army veteran, husband, and father of four. He was born in San Francisco and raised on a horse farm in Louisiana. Holds a BA in Literature from the University of California Santa Cruz and an MA in English from San Francisco State University. Joshua has been published in the Association of Literary Scholars, Critics and Writers newsletter, Literary Matters. He won 2nd place in UCSC Golden Key Creative Writing Contest. He has also been published in Chinquapin, Literary Juice, Every Day Poems, Homestead Review, and the Monterey Herald. Joshua has self-published two collections of poetry and one of short fiction. His poetry has also been featured in displays at the Seaside and Monterey Peninsula College Libraries. Joshua was a featured Poet during Monterey Peninsula College’s “Bridging the Bay” event during National Poetry Month in 2014 and 2015. He lives and teaches in Monterey, California.
